Celebrate 30 Years with Tourism Richmond

Tourism Richmond is proud to celebrate 30 years of welcoming visitors, championing local businesses, and sharing everything that makes Richmond a great place to visit. This anniversary is a moment to reflect on the amazing growth of our visitor economy, and to recognize the partners, people, and stories that have helped shape it over the past three decades. 

To mark the occasion, we’re inviting Tourism Richmond Partners to enter a celebratory giveaway for a chance to win a Tourism Richmond-branded YETI Mug! 

How to Enter:

Share a favourite memory from the past 30 years, whether it’s a reflection on how tourism has evolved in Richmond or a standout moment welcoming visitors to the city. Complete the contest form below and submit either (1) a short paragraph about a moment you’ll always remember, or (2) a photo with a brief caption. 

Not sure what to submit? Consider one of the examples below: 

• A Richmond destination or community milestone you were involved in (e.g., hosting an event during the 2010 Olympics, CARHA Hockey Tournament) 

• A moment that reflects the visitor experience (e.g., a guest story, a returning visitor, a standout review, or a memorable group booking) 

• A program, product, or service you introduced that strengthened Richmond’s visitor offering (e.g., a new tour, menu, exhibit, package, or seasonal hotel, experience, attraction) 

• A marketing milestone (e.g., a campaign you participated in, media coverage, a notable feature, or a significant increase in visitation) 

• A facility or guest-experience improvement (e.g., accessibility enhancements, sustainability initiatives, new amenities, or major upgrades) 

• An accomplishment you are proud of within Richmond’s tourism industry (e.g., receiving a Richmond EPIC Tourism Award) 

• A collaboration with Tourism Richmond (e.g., Steveston Spot Prawn and Seafood Celebration, Richmond Discovery Shuttle, Winter in the Village, Fishers Walk, Partner funding opportunities) 

Selected memories may be shared during our 2026 Year-End Celebration as part of a 30-year highlight, so we can celebrate the experiences and partnerships that have made this milestone possible. 

The contest will run from Wednesday, July 15 to Thursday, October 29, and we will be selecting one winner per month to receive a Tourism Richmond-branded YETI Mug.
