Meet the Team: Janet Cheng, Senior Manager, Business Development

Janet Cheng is the Senior Manager, Business Development at Tourism Richmond, where she helps advance Richmond’s business events strategy through programs and initiatives that support the destination’s meetings and events sector. A passionate foodie and traveller, Janet enjoys sharing the experiences that make Richmond a memorable destination.

Janet’s Perfect Afternoon in Richmond

Start with food stops at Aberdeen Centre and Richmond Public Market, then take a scenic stroll from Garry Point Park to Steveston Village. Browse the local shops and finish the day watching the sunset with some ice cream by the waterfront.

These simple moments often inspire delegates to extend their stay before or after a conference. Steveston Village is a historic fishing village known for its boardwalk views, shops, and seafood restaurants.

Realizing how much she loves working in the business events industry and how every step along the way has shaped her journey.

Janet used to be a competitive hip-hop dancer and hopes to start taking classes again when she finds the time!
