Exploring Richmond’s Meeting Potential: September FAM Tour Recap 

FAM Tour Highlights: September 14–17 

Tourism Richmond hosted eight meeting planners from across Canada for a four-day journey through Richmond’s diverse meeting and event landscape. 

Participants toured a variety of venues and landmarks — including Richmond Hotel Destination Association (RHDA), Richmond Olympic Oval, British Columbia Institute of Technology Aerospace Campus, John M.S. Lecky UBC Boathouse, Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site, and Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site — while sampling local flavours at the Richmond Night Market.

The experience offered planners a firsthand look at Richmond’s mix of modern venues, waterfront view, and globally inspired cuisine, demonstrating how the city can host impactful and well-connected events, all within minutes of Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
