Richmond’s five-star Fairmont Vancouver Airport hosts a decadent afternoon tea service in its stylish Globe@YVR restaurant––complete with floor-to-ceiling views of the mountain-framed runways. You’ll enjoy delicate sandwiches, fresh scones (with cream and preserves, of course) and delightful sweet treats served with Fairmont’s premium, own-brand teas. A modern update on the traditional afternoon tea, there’s also a welcome children’s version for junior diners.

HAZUKIDO CAFE PLUS

Inside Aberdeen Centre, this bright bakery cafe serves Japanese and Western comfort dishes plus their celebrated signature croissants. But don’t miss their inventive afternoon teas, featuring a generous selection of pastries, savoury snacks and sweet treats (croissants included). One of Richmond’s most beloved heritage sites, London Farm’s verdant grounds and museum-like farmhouse attract visitors throughout the year. But it’s also a hidden gem spot for fans of traditional afternoon teas, hosted in its antique-lined dining room. Check their online schedule for upcoming dates and you’ll soon be enjoying house-baked treats, London Lady Tea and fresh scones served with the farm’s delicious own-made jam (you can even buy a jar to take home).

TSUJIRI RICHMOND

This authentic matcha restaurant serves cleverly themed Japanese high teas and afternoon teas throughout the year, each with multiple utterly delicious sweet and savoury treats. Recent offerings have included Sakura-themed, spring-themed and summer-themed menus, as well as a special Holiday High Tea that included everything from a flame-seared unagi rice bowl to a Christmas tree-shaped mousse.
