Islamic Art Experience

The Islamic Art Experience is focused on sharing the beauty of Islamic art from around the globe, fostering cross-cultural exchange among all faiths and cultures, and providing an opportunity for artists and performers from the local Muslim community in BC and Canada.

The event will bring together both visual and performing Islamic art, including:
• a juried art exhibition on the community art walls in the library
• live traditional Middle Eastern dance
• Sufi traditional music
• hands-on activities and demonstrations such as Arabic calligraphy, Palestinian embroidery, Ebru Turkish art, tapestry, and geometrics patterns
