Dear Team Richmond,
It’s truly been an amazing summer, and there are many exciting happenings to report as we head into the final stretch!
In July, we had the pleasure of attending the Destinations International 2025 Annual Convention in Chicago. We joined tourism leaders from around the globe to discuss key themes like destination stewardship and data-driven strategies. We’ve returned with fresh ideas to strengthen Richmond’s tourism future! The entire team also participated in the “Live, Work & Travel in a Good Way” workshop, which was hosted by our friends at Indigenous Tourism BC. The training focused on cultural awareness, respect for the lands, and inclusive storytelling, all of which are the foundations for respectful Indigenous partnerships.

As summer winds down, a friendly reminder that the Steveston Bike Valet and the Richmond Discovery Shuttle will continue to run through September 7. Both are free and available on weekends and Labour Day, so be sure to take advantage before time runs out!
Looking ahead, Tourism Richmond is thrilled to be a title sponsor for the Feast of Fields on September 7. This annual event is a fantastic fundraiser and celebration of local food, featuring curated tastings, live entertainment, and community engagement. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the partnerships between farmers, chefs, and producers while showcasing our commitment to regenerative agriculture and local food systems.
Last but not least, we will be wrapping up the summer season with the End of Summer Stakeholder Mix and Mingle on September 25. Taking place at Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site’s Seine Net Loft, guests will explore the captivating photographs and artifacts inside the venue, all while enjoying an evening of live music, light bites, and reconnecting with industry partners.
As we prepare to transition into a new season, there is so much to be excited about! We look forward to building on the momentum of the summer into the fall and beyond.
All the best,
