Last month, Tourism Richmond collaborated with Indigenous Tourism BC to offer a complimentary workshop to our partners. Titled “Live, Work and Travel in a Good Way” and facilitated by Chatman Shaw, the interactive session encouraged participants to engage in meaningful discussions about building relationships, responsible travel, and transforming good intentions into impactful actions.

Key topics explored during the workshop included:
- Understanding Indigenous protocols and perspectives
- Crafting thoughtful land acknowledgments
- Supporting regenerative and respectful travel practices
- Connecting with peers and finding inspiration to drive positive change within businesses and communities
The workshop received positive feedback, and as a token of appreciation, attendees were gifted a Native Northwest Cork Base Travel Mug, each featuring unique artwork created by an Indigenous artist.

Thank you to our partners for joining this insightful session, and to Indigenous Tourism BC for leading the discussion. We look forward to hosting more sessions to further explore these important topics.
