How long have you been with TPI Global?

I have worked with the company for 20 years.

Who inspired you to pursue the career you have today?

Mr. Tak Onaga. He used to be the president of JTB International Canada Ltd. and is now retired. He is a great mentor that taught me how to deal with adversity and always encouraged me to take a long-term perspective. 

What do you love most about your job?

I love being a part of my customers’ great travel memories by providing great service and impressive products.

Where were you born?

I was born in Beijing, China.

What’s something about you (a fun fact) that few people know?

My favorite food is dumpling. I would eat dumpling for the rest of my life if I had to pick. 

What’s one item you can’t live without?

The internet.

An item on your bucket list.

Spend one month or two to travel across Canada by train.

Favourite place you have visited?

Drumheller, Alberta. Because it is so unique, with a landscape like no other on earth. I felt as if I had been transported to an ancient time and place.

Tea or coffee?

Coffee.

If you could have lunch with anyone in the world who would be (could be alive or dead) and why?

Lucy Maud Montgomery, because I like the protagonist Anne in her novel (Anne of Green Gables) very much, a girl with rich imagination and vitality, who gave me a lot of inspiration for living in Canada.
