Dear Team Richmond,
July and August were both busy months, and we’re gearing up for another very busy fall season. Having just completed a successful FAM tour for the Canadian Inbound Tourism Association - Asia-Pacific (CITAP) and attending their summer function, we have also just finished running a double booth at the Canadian Meetings & Events Expo, as well as Meeting Professionals International in June. It was busy!
Sales Team Update
As many as of you know, we’ve made a wholesale change to our approach to servicing the needs of the meeting and conference planners. To that end, I would like to extend my thanks to the Tourism Richmond team members who have stepped up to meet the demands of our existing obligations.
To that end, our search for a full-time business development manager has begun! If you know anyone who might be a good fit, please don’t hesitate to send them my way. Full details on the position may be found on our website here.
A Look Ahead: Fall 2019
Tourism Richmond, along with our industry partners, will be out in force in the fall. Here’s a brief schedule of where you’ll find our team:
- October 22 to 25 – Canadian Society of Association Executives 2019 conference and showcase, Vancouver, BC
- October 23 to 24 – Showcase Canada Asia, Hong Kong
- November 17 to 20 – Canada’s West Marketplace, Richmond, BC
We can’t wait to welcome everyone to Richmond in November!
Cooperative Marketing Investment Program
I’m ringing the bell! Registered stakeholders can obtain 50/50 funding towards their marketing initiatives from Tourism Richmond – provided it fits into one of our five categories for funding. The categories are quite broad and I’m sure there’s lots of great ideas out there, just waiting to be realized.
Please don’t hesitate to contact our director of industry and destination development, Ceri Chong, today. She’ll definitely be able to get your creative juices flowing. You can reach her at email@example.com.
