Dear Team Richmond,
We’ve just wrapped up a very successful year at Tourism Richmond at our 2018 Annual General Meeting and Mix & Mingle. I couldn’t be prouder of the winners of the Pacific. Authentic. Scholarship, and I’m sure this tour will sell out – fast. Programs like these – the scholarship, the co-operative fund and the new stakeholder programs – are what makes Tourism Richmond unique from other Destination Marketing Organizations. And that’s why we’re looking for just the right candidate to take our Strategic Plan and award-winning destination brand to the next level.
With input from our Team, Board and Stakeholders, we’re working with Boyden Executive Search to fill the role of the Chief Executive Officer. While we’re not ready to announce the new CEO just yet, we anticipate having this visionary leader in place by the end of Q2. The priorities haven’t changed one bit: we’re still laser-focused on providing stakeholders with immense value, improving both our relationship with you as well as our net promoter score. In the end, we believe this will benefit Richmond businesses and our economy overall.
The board is confident in Team Richmond as well as the core team members at Tourism Richmond and their ability to carry the momentum of this past year. With a clear vision and plan in place, there’s no doubt we’re heading in the right direction.
