Richmond, BC – The 32nd annual Canada’s West Marketplace (CWM) tradeshow will take place in Richmond, British Columbia November 17 to 20, 2019.

Announced at CWM 2018 in Banff, Alberta, Tourism Richmond and the Richmond Hotel Association collaborated to bring CWM to Richmond in 2019. Established In 1989, the three-day, four-night business conference combines appointments, social events, networking opportunities and pre/post familiarization tours into an intensive, but highly productive industry forum.

“It was a perfect fit,” says Nancy Small, Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Richmond. “CWM allows tourism suppliers to showcase iconic BC and Alberta experiences to buyers around the globe. Having Richmond host this high-energy business conference allows us to showcase the best Richmond has to offer.”

“Richmond is a city where culture and character thrive, from world-class cuisine to captivating outdoor adventure”, says Marsha Walden, CEO of Destination British Columbia. “As a destination that is constantly redefining itself while celebrating its heritage, Richmond is an ideal host for Canada’s West Marketplace.”

The Canada’s West Marketplace trade show is a partnership between Destination British Columbia and Travel Alberta, created to effectively showcase western Canada tourism products to international and domestic tour operators and buyers. Each year, the trade show alternates locations between Alberta and British Columbia.

Canada’s West Marketplace is the most effective way for Alberta and British Columbia tourism suppliers to present their products, experiences and services to tourism buyers from around the world,” said Royce Chwin, Chief Executive Officer at Travel Alberta. “Alberta’s partnership with Destination BC presents our industry partners with a unique opportunity to grow their businesses on an international scale.
