There are five days left to take advantage of the annual foodie frenzy, also known as Dine Out Vancouver Festival, but with so many participating Richmond restaurants still accepting reservations, hungry diners have the chance to fit in last-minute tastings every night of the week.

1. CAVU Kitchen Bar

CAVU Kitchen Bar at the Hilton Vancouver Airport Hotel is relatively new to the Richmond dining scene, and Dine Out is the perfect time to sample its comfort food with a twist. The entree for its $28 dinner menu is a choice of braised lamb shoulder with potato ricotta perogie, carrot hummus and five-spice jus; the kalamata olive-crusted halibut with Humboldt kakavia stew and rustic bread; or the third option of charred eggplant canneloni with ratatouille veg and house lemon ricotta. For more info on the dining experience check out 365’s post on CAVU‘s regular menu from earlier this month.

Location: 5911 Minoru Blvd, Richmond

2. Kirin Seafood Restaurant

A repeat Gold Award winner for Best Chinese Fine Dining, Kirin Seafood Restaurant is a popular upscale venue with a menu to match. For its $38 Dine Out dinner offering, guests can pick from three appetizers and three entrees — lobster with e-fu noodle, rack of lamb next to beef tenderloin, or sweet and sour halibut fillet with sole and shredded cucumber — before capping off the meal with the chef’s dessert selection. And Kirin’s full Dine Out menu with wine pairings is available in English and Chinese online.

Location: 200 – 7900 Westminster Highway, Richmond (on the second floor of the Three West Coast Centre)

3. CHOP Steakhouse & Bar

CHOP Steakhouse & Bar promises a fine meal with service and surroundings that pamper. Our Dine Out spies tell us the red pepper bisque hits the spot (not too spicy, not too creamy) and the braised short beef entree that’s slow-cooked in red wine sauce is phenomenal. CHOP Steakhouse & Bar has both a lunch and dinner menu on for Dine Out, ($28 and $38 respectively), and the dinner is great value with not three, but four courses. Choose between the aforementioned short ribs with infused mash potatoes (infused with wasabi), the hunter chicken with truffle mash, the 11-ounce prime rib, the citrus soy-glazed salmon, or the classic 12-ounce New York steak.

Location: 10251 St. Edwards Drive, Richmond
