1. RBC DUMPLING TASTING SOIRÉE

2. BATS: OUT OF THE DARKNESS

Bat fans should swoop to the city’s Nature House for this family-friendly travelling exhibition from Kelowna Museums. The fascinating, multi-sensory show explores the lives of BC bats, highlighting their vital role in our ecosystem and the challenges they face to survive. Drop by on the opening weekend (March 8 and 9) where local bat experts will be on hand to answer all your questions.

3. SEEDY SATURDAY RICHMOND

Gearing up to plant your 2025 garden? You’ll find plenty of inspiration at this green-thumbed, family-friendly community event. There will be seed sales and a seed exchange onsite––bring your own seeds along in small envelopes––but be sure to stick around for the garden tours, informative workshops, expert demonstrations and hands-on activities for kids of all ages.

4. GATEWAY THEATRE’S 40TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS

The city’s beloved theatre space marks its four-decade milestone with two March 8 special events. At 2:30pm, The Flame: Anniversary Edition takes to the Studio B stage for a pay-what-you-will fiesta of music and storytelling. In the evening, the glittering Ruby Reflections: 40th Anniversary Gala fundraiser treats Mainstage audiences to a feast of performances and a catered cocktail reception.
