How do I become a stakeholder?

To become a stakeholder, you must meet certain criteria, which includes:
- Being a Richmond based business or organization
- Being a tourism business or organization, this includes restaurants, attractions, museums, tours, licensed accommodation, and more
- Being visitor ready

Code of Conduct

CODE OF CONDUCT For Stakeholders Of TOURISM RICHMOND

Becoming a stakeholder of Tourism Richmond requires that each stakeholder, be it an organization or individual, adhere to the Stakeholders' Code of Conduct as prescribed by Tourism Richmond's Board of Directors.

All stakeholders undertake to:

1.  Provide clean and well-maintained facilities and equipment for the enjoyment and safety considerations of customers;
2. Provide visitors with exceptional customer service, information on other products, services and attractions when requested and treat all other stakeholders of Tourism Richmond with respect and courtesy;
3. Handle all inquiries, requests, transactions, correspondence, and complaints promptly, courteously and fairly;
4. Use accurate representation of service/product information in all promotional and advertising material and advise the public in a reasonable manner if unable to provide the level of services or facilities as advertised;
5. Provide customers with complete details on prices, cancellation policies and services at time of purchase and advise of changes in services, products, or costs if and when they occur;
6. Provide all customers with a fair exchange for Canadian dollars on foreign currency accepted for exchange at their place of business;
7. During periods of full capacity, assist customers with finding alternative arrangements;
8. Promote responsible and sustainable use of Richmond's environmental resource base when providing services and products to customers;
9. Abide by all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws;
10. Possess a valid business license within the city of main operations;
11. Ensure familiarity with Richmond's tourist and visitor services.
