We have partnered with Camp Tech to create a workshop series for Richmond Stakeholders so you can learn how to do just that!               

Tourism Richmond chose to work with Camp Tech on this series because of their teaching style, they offer relaxed and informative hands-on workshops for adults who want to learn practical tech skills. Fundamentals of Social Media Marketing - Part 2

Date & time: May 31, 2pm-5pm
Location: Boardroom – Richmond Cultural Centre

Now it’s time to take your social media efforts to the next level. Through the examination of real business case studies, you’ll discover what does and doesn’t work for tourism businesses online. You’ll discover how to run a successful social media campaign and beat the Facebook algorithm with paid advertising. Learn how to create ad campaigns, set up ad sets, lookalike audiences, target locally, set up a Facebook Pixel so that you can create custom audiences and learn more about retargeting. After attending this class, you will have a solid understanding of how to use social media to grow your tourism business.

How to Appear in Google Search Results: SEO and SEM

In this workshop, you’ll learn how Google and other search engines work, and how to get your business to appear higher in appropriate search engine results. Discover the fundamentals of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and how to leverage both to drive more traffic to your website. You’ll learn how to choose keywords that will attract your target audience, and explore how website content, social media, and other signals inform Google’s page rankings. Finally, we’ll review paid advertising options for search engine marketing (including pay-per-click, display ads, and remarketing), and give you tips on how to best spend your advertising dollars on a budget.

Make Informed Business Decisions with Google Analytics

After you’ve developed a digital marketing plan and poured time and money into implementing it, how will you know what’s working and what isn’t? Enter Google Analytics: a free tool that will tell you who’s visiting your website, what other site referred them to you, what they clicked on, and so much more. In this Intro-level Google Analytics workshop, you’ll learn how to customize settings, create custom views, create segments to compare data and configure simple goals for your website. Identify which metrics and key indicators to focus on so you can evaluate your digital marketing efforts effectively, and learn to generate reports to keep you informed.
