We are excited to announce that Tourism Richmond will be working with Bandwango, a mobile technology platform, to launch a specialized FAM (familiarization) Trip Passport for Meeting Planners this September 2022. We invite your organization to participate as we welcome these affluential industry planners to Richmond this September!

RICHMOND FAM TRIP PASSPORT

As part of the two-day FAM Trip in Richmond, meeting planners will be provided with a customized Steveston Walking Tour. The passport will feature special discounts and offers allow them to explore Steveston on their own time and learn about the history, culture, and its variety of merchant offerings. The purpose of FAM trips is to immerse meeting planners in Richmond and showcase the city’s value as a destination for hosting meetings, events and conferences. Business Events bring thousands of delegates to Richmond annually, which has a major economic impact on our city. Many delegates also opt to stay after their events as a leisure traveller, injecting more revenue into the city, including those located in Steveston Village.

If you’re interested in participating and being featured on the passport, we are asking that businesses provide a discount or offer that you can offer passholders. Examples include a free menu item, souvenir, or a discount rate for shopping.
