Taste of Richmond
Explore the city’s diverse food scene through tastings, hands-on classes, and guided experiences and tours.
Tastings
Unleash your taste-based curiosity on our delicious wines, intriguing craft beers, and homegrown artisan products.
Richmond’s wineries—including Country Vines Winery, Canada Berries, and Lulu Island Winery—offer generous samples at their ever-friendly tasting bars. Beer fans should also save time for tasting flights at celebrated craft breweries Fuggles & Warlock Craftworks, Britannia Brewing Co. and Monkey 9 Brewing.
If you’re craving treats, check out the bean-to-bar chocolates at Wild Sweets By Dominique & Cindy Duby, plus the artisan chocolates and fine foods at Sinfully the Best. Still hungry? Richmond is also studded with farms where you can buy direct or even pick your own—look out for seasonal strawberries, blueberries, and more.
Hands-On Classes
If you’re keen to learn more about artisan production, Sinfully the Best hosts fascinating in-depth classes where experienced pastry chefs will give you the lowdown on how raw ingredients are transformed into works of art.
Tours and Guided Experiences
There’s also a tempting array of guided experiences to add to your plate here. Check ahead for individual opening times and tour availability.
Lulu Island Winery offers guided tours of its vineyards and production facilities, followed by a visit to the tasting room for samples of its specialty ice wines and fruit wines.
You can also chat directly with the city’s beer-crafting experts on behind-the-scenes tours at both Monkey 9 Brewing and Fuggles & Warlock Craftworks—inspirational tastings included.
And you can peek behind the scenes at Wild Sweets By Dominique & Cindy Duby, where options include educational tasting experiences and fascinating glimpses into the bean-to-bar and fine pastry chef processes.
