You’ll find world-class indoor sports facilities in Richmond, including the Richmond Olympic Oval, where you can drop in for fitness classes, hockey, and public skating or to scale the 13-metre (44-foot) climbing wall. If you want to swim, head to Watermania, an aquatic centre with a 57-metre (187-foot) competition pool, a wave pool, whirlpools, and more. You can also try your hand at curling, a great Canadian pastime, at the Richmond Curling Club or head to 6Pack Indoor Beach for drop-in beach volleyball or archery tag.
There are also over 100 sports and tournament fields in Richmond that are ideal for everything from basketball and soccer to softball and rugby; and you can golf in Richmond year-round at one of three public courses or practice your game at the local pitch & putt. In fact, you can even experience a west coast special: golfing in Richmond in the morning and skiing in the afternoon at one of Metro Vancouver’s local ski hills, such as Grouse Mountain.
