Britannia Shipyard is a rare surviving example of a once thriving mixture of canneries, boatyards and residences. It is an eight acre National Historic Site with some of the oldest remaining heritage buildings found along the Fraser River.

The Living History program invites visitors to step into the past with historical demonstrations led by heritage interpreters dressed in period costume. Try your hand at mending fishing nets at Britannia Shipyards, meet the friendly Conductor at the Steveston Tram, and draft a bank note with a fountain pen in the Bank Manager’s office at the Steveston Museum.
