Spotlight Questions:
1. If you were giving a tour of Richmond, what’s the first place you’d take someone and why?
It would be Steveston for sure. Steveston is a quaint little fishing village by the West Coast & is beautiful with the Victorian-era architecture & its iconic boardwalks & has had several movies shot here. There are also numerous restaurants providing delicious options from different cuisines from across the world & you get to pair it with stunning Sunsets on the coast. Steveston is also home to the historic Gulf of Georgia Cannery & the Britannia Shipyards that speak about its illustrious role that Steveston played in the West Coast history. The other thing that I love about Steveston is that you get to go Whale Watching from Steveston. Who wouldn’t love a beauty like Steveston that brings together food, history, nature & adventure all in one place?!
2. What is your favourite local spot in Richmond and why?
My favourite local spot in Richmond is Gary Point Park. It is a water-front park on the west coast & you can get transformed into a different world suddenly away from the urban setting with the Cherry trees, the seaside breeze, sounds of the Seagulls & the stunning sunsets. You can also enjoy some amazing fish & chips & take a stroll down the park, the ideal setting for some great conversations.
3. What is a skill you have learned at work that unexpectedly became useful in your personal life?
I came across different AI tools at work & I now use different AI platforms in my personal life too. One e.g. would be the upcoming trip that I am planning where the entire itinerary has been developed with the help of AI tools. This has saved me a lot of time & I have a great database to start working on.
4. What is your favourite way to unwind after a busy week at work?
Different things help me to unwind after a busy week. It could be playing my favourite music, watching a rom-com with my family, or even meditating.
5. What is something that you have done that people would be surprised to know?
I have done bungee jumping in the past, which was quite scary & adventurous.

6. What is your secret talent that no one at work knows about?
I guess it would be that I can write decently well. I have not written a lot in the past, just a handful of topics of interest but I wish to do it more often as I have realised that I enjoy it & find it very fulfilling when I write about something that I am passionate about.
7. If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go and what is the first thing you would do there?
I would love to go to Japan as I am very curious about their culture & food. I also appreciate the various ideologies that they believe in like ikigai, Hara Hachi Bu, Wabi-Sabi etc. The first thing that I would probably do after going there would be eating one of their famous Ramens.
