The Richmond Night Market has now closed, wrapping up its final season in September 2026 after 26 memorable years. As the largest night market in North America, it became a much-loved part of Richmond’s summer experience.
A LOOK BACK AT THE RICHMOND NIGHT MARKET
Inspired by Asia’s night markets and their all-night extravaganzas of tastes, smells and sounds, the Richmond Night Market brought together food, entertainment and vendors in one vibrant summer destination. Visitors could explore more than 200 food and retail stalls and sample everything from crab meat noodles, BBQ squid and ramen to Japanese poutine, Brazilian pastries, spare ribs, sushi and Afghan bolani.
26 YEARS OF SUMMER NIGHTS
Over the years, the Richmond Night Market became known for more than just its food. The energy of the vendors, live entertainment, unique retail stalls, and colourful atmosphere all helped bring the market to life. Visitors could browse, watch performances, and even soar above the action on its 600-foot zipline, making it a recognizable part of summer in Richmond.
