Steveston Spot Prawn & Seafood Celebration
The 2026 Spot Prawn Celebration brought a festival feel to Steveston from May 14 to June 14. Thank you to the Steveston Harbour Authority and all the amazing partners we worked with to highlight the vibrant present-day fishing industry in Steveston harbour.
We’ll be back next year for the 2027 B.C. spot prawn catch with the return of Spot Prawn Day, the Culinary Stage, the Dine About restaurant promotion, The Fisherman’s Table dining event, and much more!
Spot Prawn Sales AT FISHERMAN’S WHARF
A highlight of the celebration, live spot prawn sales on Fisherman’s Wharf from Steveston vendors. Generations of fishers come together to sell this highly seasonal offering. With fishing boats filing the harbour and long lines awaiting sale, this is one of the most authentic ways to take part in spot prawn season and connect with Steveston’s working waterfront.
Spot Prawn & Seafood dine about PROMOTION
Local restaurants join the celebration with special seafood dishes and seasonal menus inspired by spot prawns and other coastal ingredients. The Dine About experience gives visitors a delicious reason to explore Richmond’s food scene, with chefs putting their own creative spin on one of the province’s most prized spring catches fresh off the docks of Steveston.
The Fisherman’s Table Dining Event
The Fisherman’s Table offered a one-night-only dining experience that brought together local seafood, Steveston’s waterfront setting, live music, and dishes from participating Richmond restaurants. With its relaxed atmosphere and limited availability, the event captured the feeling of a true seasonal celebration and sold out in 2026.
Spot Prawn Day AT FISHERMAN’S WHARF
Spot Prawn Day turns the waterfront into a lively community event with live entertainment, chef demonstrations, family activities, a kids zone, art workshops, and sustainability-focused programming. It is a welcoming way for visitors of all ages to experience the celebration, whether they came for seafood, entertainment, or a spring day by the harbour.
