The Tourism Richmond team attended the 2025 BC Tourism Industry Conference from March 5-7 at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre. Over three insightful days, we engaged in networking, meetings, and discussions with industry leaders and partners. The conference focused on the theme “Tourism for All – Embracing the Journey.”

As one of the sponsors, Tourism Richmond supported the panel titled “Building Business Success: Insights on the 2025 Provincial Budget and Strategies for Economic Growth in BC.” The discussion explored the new provincial budget, its sector-wide impacts, and business opportunities and challenges.

Adding a fun twist, Tourism Richmond introduced a Dumpling Trail activation, inviting attendees to answer a trivia question for a chance to win a Dumpling Trail Staycation. The prize included a two-night stay at the River Rock Casino Resort, dining vouchers for Dumpling Trail restaurants, a McArthurGlen Designer Outlet gift card, and exclusive Dumpling swag.

During the Awards Gala, Tourism Richmond was the runner-up for the Culinary Tourism Award, alongside Nimmo Bay Resort. Congratulations to Maple Leaf Adventures for taking home the award!

Tourism Richmond’s Marketing Specialist, Hannah Arthurs, also spoke at the Regenerative Tourism in Action panel. The panel included travel writers, resort operators, and representatives from Tourism Richmond to provide industry examples of regenerative tourism in action. Hannah shared the story of Tourism Richmond’s Regenerative Tourism Grant Program and how it was designed to best assist stakeholders in beginning their regenerative tourism journey.

The 2025 BC Tourism Conference was an unforgettable experience filled with valuable insights and meaningful conversations. Thank you to Tourism Industry Association of BC, Destination BC, and all sponsors for organizing a fantastic event!
