Legacy Lounge at the Richmond Olympic Oval: A Venue with Olympic Legacy

Looking for a venue that offers more than just a boardroom? The Legacy Lounge at the Richmond Olympic Oval is a modern, flexible space ideal for meetings, receptions, and private events. Originally constructed as the VIP viewing area during the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, it hosted guests such as the Prime Minister of Canada and the Emperor of Japan. Today, it’s been reimagined as a contemporary event venue with direct access to the Richmond Olympic Experience museum.

Event Space Overview

The Legacy Lounge features:

  • Floor-to-ceiling windows with views of two Olympic-sized ice rinks
  • A cantilevered extension over the ice, offering a panoramic setting
  • Built-in bar and catering capabilities
  • Seating for up to 90 guests, or 300 when combined with the museum floor

The venue supports a variety of event formats, including networking receptions, speaker series, off-site corporate gatherings, and social programs.

Access to the Richmond Olympic Experience

Events hosted in the Legacy Lounge can be paired with access to the Richmond Olympic Experience, a museum dedicated to Canada’s Olympic history. The museum includes:

  • Exhibits featuring Olympic torches, medals, and artifacts from athletes such as Sidney Crosby
  • Sport simulators, including bobsleigh, ski jumping, Formula 1, kayak, and sit-ski
  • A collaboration with the Hockey Hall of Fame
  • A focus on inclusivity and accessibility, with features highlighting Paralympic sports

This integrated museum access allows planners to offer attendees a meaningful and engaging program add-on.
