Charming cobblestone paths, tree-lined, car-free walkways, and piazzas with a dancing fountain make McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Vancouver Airport a stylish destination for anyone in or around Richmond looking for luxury and premium brands at discounted prices. Designed to feel like a European open-air village, this joint venture between McArthurGlen and the Vancouver Airport Authority became BC’s first designer outlet when it opened on July 9, 2015. Now, 10 years later, it’s celebrating with special events and promotions from July 3 to 13.
How Will the 10th Anniversary Be Celebrated?
McArthurGlen is honouring its 10th birthday with exclusive discounts, and daily giveaways and prize draws, which include retail gift cards and branded tote bags. Head to the Luxury Piazza, in the centre of the outlet near Moose Knuckles and Kate Spade, for live DJ sets on July 12 and 13, from 1 to 5 PM. Shoppers who hit a minimum spend of $1000 (in the same day) can enter to win a grand prize worth over $5,000, which includes a shopping spree, one-night stay for two at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport, transportation with Helijet, and a two-night stay for two at Fairmont Empress in Victoria, BC. As a bonus, those who qualify will also receive Helijet discount coupons.
A Shopping Lineup You’ll Love
McArthurGlen delivers year-round savings of 30 to 70% off at more than 90 name-brand stores, including luxury labels like Armani, Versace, and Jimmy Choo, alongside everyday favourites like Nike, Levi’s, and Banana Republic. Spanning over 300,000 square feet, the outlet features a wide range of shops covering fashion, sportswear, kitchenware, body care, and cosmetics. The shopping experience continues to evolve, with the arrival of Marc Jacobs’ first Western Canada location in February 2025, adding bold bags, shoes, and accessories to the outlet’s designer lineup. And foodies, take note — Kinton Ramen is also on the way, with an anticipated opening in early 2026, further expanding the food offerings.
Kid-Approved Fun
For families, strollers are available at the Guest Services desk, and little ones can burn off some energy at the mostly covered playground located between Carter’s/OshKosh and the Lindt store, complete with slides and climbing towers. Thanks to its close proximity to the airport, the outlet is also a fun spot for kids to watch planes take off and land, as airplanes fly low overhead. And to celebrate the 10th anniversary, there’ll be a craft station set up on July 5 and 6, for a fun break between stores.
A Global Menu of Flavours
When hunger hits mid-shopping spree, you’ve got plenty of tasty ways to refuel, whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a more indulgent meal. If you’re craving something fast and familiar, A&W’s got you covered. Or swing by Caffè Artigiano for a much-needed caffeine boost. For a more leisurely sit-down, Neptune Noodle House is a go-to for its Cantonese-style dishes like shrimp dumplings, pork and shrimp wonton noodle soup and rich beef brisket noodles. The honey-smoked duck breast and BBQ pork are also worth slowing down for. Sushi fans can head to Ryuu Japanese Kitchen for fresh rolls and teriyaki bowls, while Bibo serves up wood-fired Neapolitan pizza and handmade pasta that’s hard to pass up.
For something sweet, Hugo’s Churros & Tacos delivers with their viral churro gelato sandwich, which is crispy, creamy, and unapologetically indulgent. Across from Japadog, the Lee’s Donuts trailer dishes out light and fluffy yeast donuts from one of the city’s longest-running donut shops. Their perfectly glazed Honey Dip is a staple, while the raspberry jam–filled donut holds its own as a longtime favourite.
The Praguery brings a taste of the Czech Republic to the shopping scene with trdelník, a traditional hand-rolled chimney cake made from sweet, yeast-based dough. It’s baked on a rotating spit over an open flame, then rolled in sugar that caramelizes into a crispy, golden crust. Their food truck, parked between the west side lot and the Polo Ralph Lauren store, serves these warm, doughy spirals with soft-serve ice cream and toppings like homemade pistachio sauce, brownie chunks, and candied pecans, all of which are made from locally sourced ingredients. To mark the centre’s 10th anniversary, both The Praguery and Lee’s Donuts are rolling out exclusive merchandise and limited-edition flavours.
Thoughtful Traveler-Friendly Amenities
McArthurGlen is a convenient stop for layovers, last-minute gift shopping, or simply unwinding before a flight. Whether you’re coming from or headed to the airport, the plentiful travel-friendly amenities are designed to make the shopping experience a little more relaxed. Head to Guest Services to find luggage lockers on the second floor, phone chargers available to borrow, and multilingual staff ready to help. Free WiFi is available throughout the outlet, so you can easily tune into flight updates while you browse or grab a bite.
