A popular pilgrimage spot for fans of delicious Chinese-style fried chicken, the dishes here combine juicy, well-marinated meat with a lovely crispy-crunchy secret-recipe coating. The recently expanded menu includes family packs of four to 20 pieces, one-person combos with fries and a drink (plum soda recommended) plus brand new wraps and burger options. The super-ravenous can also add wings or popcorn chicken sides to their order.
Must-try dish: Heat fans should take the spicy route for their chicken here––it’s a mouthwatering revelation.

Behind the white-painted exterior of this Steveston side street hole-in-the-wall, you’ll find a friendly welcome alongside the seductive aroma of the best fried chicken in the village. Their near-legendary, crispy-coated treats come in three-piece to 18-piece serving options––but be sure to add a side of silky-smooth Filipino-style macaroni to your order. There isn’t much seating here, so consider takeout and then find a scenic spot on the nearby Steveston shoreline.
Must-try dish: Their chicken sandwich with fresh-cut fries is a great lunch option.

This unassuming, family-run Richmond restaurant has a loyal band of local diners who love its good-value Chinese dishes––the deliciously brothy noodle bowls come in a huge array of options. But once you try their succulent, deep-fried chicken wings––complete with irresistible special-recipe coating––you’ll quickly start planning a return trip. It’s the kind of dish you order as a side on your first visit, and as a 12-piece main the next time you drop by.

This fancy-free fast food joint serves a huge array of brilliantly tasty comfort food options. A perfect fusion of juicy meat encased in a flaky-textured crunch coating, the menu covers all the best bases––from chicken sandwiches to chicken combos with fries to lots of picnic-ready family meal deals that include chicken pieces, sides and more. A five-minute walk from Canada Line’s Aberdeen Station, the food court inside the Empire Centre mall is studded with authentic mom-and-pop vendors––including this cash-only counter where the large menu signs have lots of handwritten additions. Confused about what to order? Ask a friendly staffer for recommendations and you’ll soon be diving into one of several great Taiwanese-style deep-fried chicken dishes, all of which are perfectly seasoned and delightfully crispy.
