With blue skies regularly framing fall’s golden foliage, autumnal Richmond is a favourite with camera-happy locals and visitors.
But this season isn’t just about hitting the city’s leaf-peeping trail. Don’t miss a family-friendly pumpkin patch visit to Richmond Country Farms. Taste-test some distinctive fall beers and new-vintage wines at local libation-makers. And plan ahead for a serving of kid-tastic Halloween fun at area attractions.
Also save time for this season’s month-long Culture Days event, where local groups and organizations showcase themselves and offer fascinating behind-the-scenes access. When the weather turns chilly, this is also a good time to sample Richmond’s museums and galleries––and to book tickets for the new season of live shows at the brilliant Gateway Theatre.
Craving additional undercover pursuits? Richmond is home to several under-the-radar indoor activities ripe for autumnal discovery. Consider everything from escape rooms to miniature golf and from climbing walls to go-kart racing. Add the city’s wealth of covered shopping malls and food courts and you’ll have plenty of reasons to head out in fall-season Richmond, whatever the weather.
