2. THE PRAGUERY

Near the entrance to the region’s favourite outlet mall, fuel up for your bargain-hunting trip at this inviting aqua-blue ice cream truck. You’ll find a tempting array of silky-smooth soft-serve vanilla options––each served in a baked chimney cake cone––with topping options such as Mango Tango, Strawberry Cheesecake and Salted Caramel Pecan. Cone-free cup options are also available.

3. DAYDREAMERS BY CAFE 33

Specializing in bold Vietnamese coffee served with a gelato twist. Order a tall iced coffee here (flavour options include Salted Cream, Banana Pudding and more) then select a gelato scoop to top it off––from varieties such as Mango, Pistachio and more. One of the best-priced ice cream purveyors in Richmond, this fancy-free window counter near Steveston’s Fisherman’s Wharf offers a humungous selection of B.C.-made Island Farms ice cream varieties in generous cup or cone servings. 5. SALLY’S HOMEMADE ICE CREAM

Next door to B&P, this family-run Steveston joint takes a small-batch, artisanal approach to its frosty treats—which are all made onsite. Give yourself plenty of time to choose from the 20 or so ice cream and sorbet varieties available here, typically ranging from Mint Chocolate to Espresso Flake and including sorbets such as Pear or Passion Fruit. Then return later in the day for round two!

6. FLUFFLE CAFE
130 – 9780 Cambie Road, Richmond, B.C.
Alongside its coffees and croffles, this cozy Korean cafe specializes in bingsoo––a luscious sugar, cream and condensed milk treat with a fluffy, snowdrift-like texture. A revelation to traditional ice cream fans, there are several flavour options here including Oreo, Strawberry and Blueberry-Coconut. A lip-smacking reminder that there’s more to chilled desserts than regular ice cream!
