Dear Team Richmond,

This spring, we were pleased to welcome Partners to our April Industry Luncheon at the Radisson Blu Vancouver Airport Hotel & Marina. Guided by this year’s theme, Harnessing Momentum, the event highlighted the partnerships, initiatives, and shared efforts helping support Richmond’s tourism industry and shape the season ahead.

As part of the luncheon, we also shared the Richmond Tourism Master Plan, which has established a long-term vision for tourism in Richmond and outlines key goals and strategic initiatives to enhance visitor experiences, support economic growth, and promote sustainable tourism practices.

Later in April, Tourism Richmond joined Destination BC’s sales mission to China, reconnecting with important travel trade and media partners in Beijing and Shanghai. This work supports Richmond’s visibility in a key international market and helps strengthen future visitation opportunities.

Tourism Richmond also proudly hosted the 2026 Travel Media Association of Canada (TMAC) Conference and Media Marketplace, welcoming more than 200 travel media professionals to Richmond. From local hosted tours and dine out experiences to the opening reception and TMAC Dinner and Awards Gala, the conference provided a wonderful opportunity to showcase Richmond’s culinary scene, hospitality, culture, and waterfront communities.

This event would not have been possible without the support of so many Richmond Partners. Thank you to everyone who helped create memorable experiences for delegates and showcase the best of Richmond to industry and media travel professionals from across the country.

As we move into June, that momentum continues. The Steveston Spot Prawn and Seafood Celebration is now underway, and preparations are building for FIFA World Cup 2026™ activities across the region, including Richmond Celebrates Soccer community events happening throughout the city this summer. The Richmond Discovery Shuttle will also soon help connect visitors to experiences across the destination. This week, our team is also attending Rendez-vous Canada in Toronto, continuing to build relationships with travel trade partners from around the world.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Richmond’s strength lies in the people, businesses, and experiences that make this destination so vibrant, and I look forward to the season ahead.

All the best,

Nancy Small
