Locals and visitors are marking their 2025 calendars for the return of the Richmond Night Market––and this year, the much-loved event is celebrating its landmark 25th anniversary. Running every weekend from April 25 to October 13, market-goers can expect a full menu of special deals and exciting new features to dive into this season.

“We have two special themes this year: Summer of Love and our 25th anniversary celebrations,” says Richmond Night Market manager Karen Wan. “Visitors will find lots of colourful new decorations to take photos of. There’s also a new LED light wall and even a mini Japanese garden feature to explore.”
Zip to it
But there’s an even bigger new highlight for 2025. “We wanted to add something truly memorable for our anniversary year, so we are also installing an amazing zipline,” says Wan. “It’s launching in May, and visitors will be able to soar above the market for 600 feet––the views will be incredible.”
Touted as the world’s first night market zipline as well as the first-ever zipline attraction in Richmond, the adrenalin-rushing aerial attraction will likely be a hot ticket item at the 2025 event. Thrill-seeking visitors, says Wan, are advised to book their spot as soon as they arrive onsite. Adult tickets will be available at a special $20 promotional price for the first month, with the regular price set at $25 thereafter. Tickets for children (height and weight restrictions apply) will be $15.
Hot New Dishes
The zipline isn’t the only fresh feature to discover during 2025’s birthday season. As ever, food is a huge draw at the Richmond Night Market––and hunting down the year’s most photogenic dishes is an annual quest for many. This time around, Wan says, there will be more than 108 food vendors and at least 500 globally inspired dishes to satisfy the most adventurous of appetites.

Alongside returning favourites such as deep-fried octopus and spiral potatoes, visitors can expect a multitude of mouth-watering new options in 2025. These range from deep-fried spot prawns to pineapple crème brûlée and from mille-feuille pastries to French-style beignet treats. There will even be a Dubai chocolate strawberry dessert cup as well as a stand serving drinks in adult-sized baby bottles!

Food and beverage fans should also look out for an enticing new anniversary feature at this year’s market. “For 2025, we have created a unique Happy Hour promotion that will run throughout the evening on every day of the market,” says Wan. “Each vendor will have a Happy Hour special on their menu––priced under $10 for food or under $7 for drinks.”
Anniversary Deals
It’s one of several ways the market is inviting visitors to celebrate its anniversary this season. “We really wanted to give back and thank everyone who has supported us over the years,” says Wan, explaining that special discounted admission prices have been introduced throughout 2025 to show the market’s appreciation to visitors old and new.
General admission rates for this year’s April to October run have been reduced to just $7 (it’s also still free for over-60s and children aged under seven). At the same time, the market’s Zoom Pass––which covers five visits and is only available for purchase at the entrance––has been cut to $35.
And these aren’t 2025’s only birthday season admission deals, says Wan. “After 10:00pm every night, we are offering a special After Dark admission rate of just $5. It’s a great way to enjoy the market’s late-night vibe––and many food and drink vendors will also be offering their own After Dark deals as well.”

BEYOND FOOD
Of course, checking out North America’s largest Asian-style night market isn’t just about satisfying your hunger pangs. “We have more than 100 new and returning retail vendors this year,” says Wan. “Visitors will be able to find cosmetics, jewellery, cellphone accessories and much more.”

There will also be a huge range of games and activities for visitors of all ages. Children will love 2025’s new bouncy castle––the market’s biggest ever. And a dedicated games area will include lots of new attractions, including more than 30 Mega Pinball Duck Race consoles. Some of this year’s games also offer the chance to win big prizes––including, for the first time, a brand new car!

Adding to the fun and included with your admission, the 2025 market will also offer a highly diverse array of live entertainment every night. This year, there will be lots of local school and community groups performing on stage––look for choirs, dancers, K-pop bands, martial arts experts and much more.
Extra Tips
With plenty to see and do during the market’s anniversary run, Wan offers some final tips for 2025 visitors. “The Zoom Pass is always a good idea, especially since you can share it with your friends and family. And although we have 2,000 free parking spots, we recommend coming on the Canada Line––Bridgeport Station is only a short walk away,” she notes, adding that bringing cash is also advisable since it’s the only payment option for many vendors.
Wan says she’s really looking forward to the season-long birthday party at the 2025 Richmond Night Market. And she encourages locals and visitors to drop by and check out all the new and returning features. “There will be so much to see and do here this year and we invite everyone to come and celebrate with us.”
